The purpose of Gospel Thoughts

Every so often as I read and study the scriptures, certain passages or ideas really stand out to me as important. I will often record these ideas in my personal journal, but I thought I would put a few more words to them and share them publicly. These posts generally won’t be long, they won’t be very well written, but they will capture what I see and feel as I ponder the word of God.

You should know that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, otherwise known as the Mormon Church. That means in addition to the Bible, I also read the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, and the words of men who I believe are modern prophets and apostles. While each of these records are different, they all testify that Jesus is the Christ. My faith is anchored in Jesus Christ, and Gospel Thoughts will reference Him and His teachings as I learn of Him.

I hope my reflections will inspire, uplift, and provoke further thought and discovery among those who read them.
