How to install httpd web server with custom configuration

>Install the HTTPd server in amazon Linux.

>Change the port HTTPd server “80” to “8080”

>One VM with amazon linux2 installed.

>Root user permission or general user permission with Sudo power.

we have successfully installed our httpd server but to access the webpages we have to start its service.

Note: the above command will start the server on a temporary basis as the VM restart service will be stopped, so for starting the service on boot we have enabled it.

Our service start enable successfully , Let,s check the status

Now a web server is successfully installed, By default httpd work on port no.80

To change the web server default port we have to update it in all the default information conf.httpd.

Let,s change port from 80 to 8080

save the file and restart the service check httpd working fine or not on port no.8080

In this config file there is the keyword “DocumentRoot” which difines the by default httpd working on this in “/var/www/html

save this information in httpd configuration file.
