The curse of being a minimalist.

I kept reading all these posts about minimalism and what it will bring to your life.

It still feels ok to read for people who experience minimalism then see how that brings joy to their lives.

Reading stories of such don’t add much to me or subtract but it makes me relive my moments when I tried to own as much as I could fit my room and my brain.

Now that I have been living out of a suitcase for the last two years, I have been cursed in some way.

I give spinning sessions at different gyms during my week, I meet new people.

Some like my class, some walk out in the middle of session and some don’t give a damn about me.

I have also learned that being a minimalist contributed not only to losing so much materials that I didn’t need but also losing many friends, acquaintances and a woman a I really loved.

She was the complete opposite of me; being a woman, specially a Russian woman, something I got to learn more about after she deserted me; She was the opposite of a minimalist, she was a Maximilist. Or better but a Climaxist.

She feels secure surrounded by things, shoes, wardrobes filled with dresses, drawers piled up with jewelry, coats, watches, etcetera.

Which was ok with me, I never tried to change that or show her in anyway that my way was a better way or yours was a not so better.

I respected her thing and I had a thought she respected my thing.

Because we never talked about it or mentioned it.

We had all the love in the world to share among each other.

The curse of being a minimalist, she left and I think because she thought I was a loser with no clear future, no 9–5 stable job and immature, meaning I’d try and have fun everyday and not care so much about the future.
