Who can find a faithful man?

The book of Proverbs highlights a set of principles. These principles or actions when followed produce amazing results. In the general case, we know what will happen when the wisdom expounded and the proverb is neglected. While the book of Proverbs is not a tautology, it’s teaching and sayings about life are noteworthy.

In the book of Proverbs, we find many generalized statements. In this specific verse, which finds teaching about what most men will do. While it is true that there are some exceptions, most men will proclaim their goodness. It is also true that some men will acknowledge the defect of their character.

Many will proclaim that they are kind. Many will proclaim that they are good. Many will proclaim that they are faithful. Many will proclaim that they are pious. But this is not always the case. In the last days, the greatest deception is that the profession of men will not always match the possession of their character.

In the book of 2nd Timothy, we read that many will claim godliness while they still hold on the elements of worldliness. This is the same sentiment highlighted in this verse. Some people claim that they are good, but they are simply a base metal.

A faithful man is one that is true to duty. A faithful man is one that is true to principle. A faithful man is one that is true to his word. A faithful man is one that will not accept bribes. A faithful man is one that is not easily deterred.

Solomon acknowledges that it is very hard to find a faithful man. He does not have his say that it is impossible to find one, but he maintains that it is very rare. They are faithful men still even in our world. Yeah, the number of the unfaithful is insurmountable.

To become faithful, we need to learn how to trust God. The fear and the reference of God in our lives we’ll translate into how we treat our fellow human beings.
